How it works

This is an automated evidence matching system that will match evidence to supporting documentation.

To validate samples, simply follow these steps:

Step 1

In the Sampling group, click on the ‘Nirvana’ menu then select ‘Validate’.

A new pop-up window will appear.

Step 2

Check that the Population range is correct and confirm if the first row of the population should be considered as headers.

Step 3

Click on ‘Select Headers’ to select the headers to be validated and map them to the related Document Fields.

A new pop-up will appear.

Step 4

Within the Auto Field Mapping pop-up, select the fields to be validated using the tickboxes next to each Table Field.

Thereafter, confirm that the Automated Document Field mapping has been correctly applied. To change the Document Field related to a Table Field, simply select said field, then in the drop-down menu below the table, select the appropriate Document Field.

For any Table Field that does not have an appropriate Document Field, use *Anywhere in Document* to simply look for the Table Field value in the document.

Note that a Document ID is always required.

‘Reset Auto Mapping’ will reset the auto field mapping.

Once satisfied, click ‘Continue’

Step 5

Click on ‘Select Folder’ and use the File Explorer window to browse to the folder containing all the supporting documentation.

Ensure that this is not a zip folder, unzip it before hand. Also ensure that all documents are in the same folder and not in the sub-folders.

Note that in the folder selector, the documents will not appear in the folder as it is only looking for folders.

Step 6

Next select where the output should be presented by selecting an option in the Report in drop-down.

Current Sheet, New Table will create a new table alongside the input table with the results.

New Sheet will show all the results in a new sheet.

Step 7

Select how the output should be shown. The options are either Highlight or Tickmark based on results. Select the desired option by clicking the option box.

Step 8

Enable ‘Link source documents’ to add a preview of the document next to each item.

Enable ‘Structure source documents’ to have new folders created within the selected folder where each document will be classified as either Validated, Partially Validated or Unvalidated.

Enable ‘Rename source documents’ to rename copies of the source documents in the selected folder to the Document ID for the identified sample item.

Step 9

Click on ‘Validate’ to initiate validation. A progress bar will appear.

Upon completion a success message will be shown. Click on ‘OK’ to continue.

Step 10

Click on ‘View’ next to the Setup parameters to view all input information related to the validation. A new side panel will appear containing all this information.

Use ‘Save settings for Rerun’ to reuse these setting in a rerun of the same sample info.

Use ‘Add to Sheet’ to add a screenshot of this panel next to the sample information.

Use ‘Remove embedded documents’ to clear all linked documents from the workbook.

Step 11

To preview the document, click on ‘Preview’ and a new side panel will appear, showing all the extracted fields with corresponding highlights on the document.
