How it works
This is an automated document field extraction system that will extract selected fields from supporting documentation.
Simply follow these steps:
Step 1
In the Sampling group, click on the ‘Nirvana’ menu then click on ‘Create’.
A new pop-up window will appear.
Step 2
Click on ‘Select Folder’ and use the File Explorer window to browse to the folder containing all the supporting documentation.
Ensure that this is not a zip folder, unzip it before hand. Also ensure that all documents are in the same folder and not in the sub-folders.
Note that in the folder selector, the documents will not appear in the folder as it is only looking for folders.
Step 3
To enable the preview of each document next to each item, tick the ‘Link Source Documents’ option.
Step 4
Using Manage Fields, select the fields to be extracted by selecting them from the Available Fields List and then clicking the arrow to add them to the Selected Fields List.
Remove fields from the Selected Fields List by selecting them in Selected Fields then clicking the arrow to move them to Available Fields.
Use the ‘Move Up’ and ‘Move Down’ buttons to rearrange the order of the Selected Fields.
‘Reset to Defaults’ will reset the Selected Fields List to the defaults shown in the screenshot.
‘Clear’ will remove all fields from the Selected Fields List.
Once satisfied with the selections, click on ‘Create’ to initiate the extraction. a new progress bar will appear.
Step 5
Upon completion, a new sheet named Nirvana Create will appear, containing the table of the extracted information.
To preview the document, click on ‘Preview’ and a new side panel will appear, showing all the extracted fields with corresponding highlights on the document.
